How FPL Defensive Contributions Work
The Fantasy Premier League Defensive Contribution rule rewards defenders and midfielders who contribute significantly to their team's defensive efforts. Players can earn 2 bonus points for reaching specific thresholds.
Defenders need 10 combined CBI and recoveries to earn the bonus. Midfielders have a higher threshold of 12 combined CBI and recoveries.
CBI stands for Clearances, Blocks, and Interceptions - key defensive actions that prevent the opposition from creating or converting chances. Recoveries are when a player regains possession for their team.
